Well I'm finally getting my shoulder fixed today.
I've had trouble since I came off my Gixer back in 05 and due to my hoping it would get better on it's own. It's now a bigger job than it should be.
I'm only sitting here typing at 3am because i can't sleep.
I've put the bike off the road as I won't be riding for a few months.
I'll let you know how it goes when I get out of hospital
Good luck, and I hope you heal up fast, so you can get back to riding! I was recently away from my bike for two weeks, and it was horrible not being able to ride!
Hope everything goes well Pickle Jim. I know I get really wound up when I don't get to ride for a week and usually that's just because of family obligations. Just knowing that I can ride keeps me (a little) more sane. If I knew I couldn't ride, that would be very hard. Best of luck for your operation!
Back home and trying to use the pc left handed.
they've ground out the underside of the Acromion and cut the arthritic end off my collarbone..
No cast just a sling. I've got to start doing the exercises tomorrow to try and reposition my shoulder before the collarbone heals. (That should be fun).
The doctor has signed me off work for 6 weeks and I probably won't ride the bike for 2 to 3 months.:SadSigh:
Hope you're recovering well. It's nom fun being unable to ride, I had a hernia op some years ago & couldn't ride for a while - I had to talk to the wife.............. seriously!!
Anyway given the awful summer not riding may not be too bad so all the best & heal soon
best wishes on your recovery from me too.
hate being unable to ride myself
i had a hip to ankle cast for 8 weeks coupla years ago, not good.
(and you get odd looks having crutches tied on the bike too)
good luck
PickleJim, get well soon. I was out from May 14TH-August 9TH with a broken ankle. I spent a lot of time on this site to make the healing time go faster.
