Back-ordered

Well my bearings came in at my dealer....but no bearing sealsThey say they are back ordered...im not one to wait so I am fedex'ing my seals from bike bandit...hopefully have them in a few days and the bearings will be done. Hell with the warranty...if parts are not available what good is it. The seals are 3 bucks a piece....the shipping costs more. Hopefully bike bandit doesn't have these on backorder.

If its parts you need to ride...I would have traded it in and bought another bike. If my seals are backordered from bikebandit too....I will trade this sprint in next week and buy something else. (k1200s or a gixxer with risers is looking good)

Ric, do you have the numbers off of the seals? I can dig around for you and see if I can cross them over to something eaiser to access. I would need the number right off the seal though and not the Triumph part number.

Well if OldnDumb is reading this...check your pm and help me with what bearing brand/number I need for the 2 bearings in the hub...apparently my dealer lied as he only has the 1 needle bearing that came in...so now that I ordered thanks to OldnDumb's source for seals...I need the 2 bearings as well. Triumph's warranty is crap...I would rather pay for high quality bearings rather than wait for probably some chinese or india bearings coming from them.

Sealed bearing # - KOYO 6908RS

You will need two of them.

It is ball 40x62x24. Put together they form what Triumph calls a twin ball bearing. They do have a plastic ring that will lock them to together if used in pairs.

Also used in VFR750. A Honda shop might have them on hand.

Yes. Sorry for the confusion. You still will need two of them, but I think you've already figured that out.

Thanks OldnDumb

its amazing how difficult a time I am having trying to get 2 lousy bearings. I called this company vrx bearing and they put me on hold as the woman on the other end typed away on her computer leaving me on hold for more than 10 minutes...then I hung up and re-dialed...she didn't pick up and it went to voice mail...then called back a few more times until she answered and she said "please hold" putting me on hold for another 5 minutes until I hung up and re-dialed only to be put into a voice mail system...I wont be doing business there either....amazing...NO ONE WANTS MY MONEY...IN THIS ECONOMY TO BOOT!! I truly think a higher power might be making this happen....maybe it wants me off the road. I found another company that seemed to have them out of North Carolina...I put in an email so hopefully they will take my money....if not...I am done....onto another make and model of bike. This is really getting rediculous.

Oh by the way OldnDumb....the new 2008 late production sprints have the rectifier moved in front on the left side...hmmmm think some have been burning up???
