Are you running the baffles with the TOR tune or no?

The TOR tune is rich -- what are the symptoms?
Shrynk,

The reason you're applying the brakes a little more is because of the pure joy of the new sound, you are flyin'!

lol true. Just blap the revs up and downshift a gear, you'll get some engine braking.

Ixil Pipes

The IXIL pipe has the two outside pipes branched off the main center pipe. Most of the gas comes out of the middle pipe with a small amount out of the left and hardly any out of the right. Both pipes to the outer cans are also of a smaller diameter .

Mine seems to have the most flow in the centre and an equal amount left and right.

I'm with Pshrynk on this one. 60% from the centre and 20% each from the side ones. I wonder if it would make any difference to performance to put the centre baffle in to force more through the side cans......

^^^

I've thought of that too and tried it.

However for me it'd just too loud without all of the baffles in.

That 20/60/20 is pretty accurate until you are walking on it. When you are cruising at 5000rpm or winding through the twists of the rockies then the flow changes and evens out.

Oh and baffles out through the Selkirks is incredible. Your cans will quiet down a bit once you get some kms on the bike and they brake in.

Not to counter you Calliway, you are more knowledgable than me as far as bikes go I am sure, but how can that be? Over time the fiber glass packing is blown out of the pipes on most aftermarket cans, which is why you sometimes hear of people sending the can back for "repacking" after a few years. As this happens less material is present to absorb sound vibration and thus more sound escapes. At least, so I had thought.

Thought about putting the centre baffle in but had another look and the flow does seem to be even on the outer cans when measured by hand. What made me think there was little flow from the right can was the colour difference, the middle is very dark the left dark and the right like new. There is also a temperature difference in the right can bit of a puzzler rearly but still sounds and goes well.
