exhaust compatibility

so I've been browsing ebay looking for a high mount exhaust and came across a few for the daytona and speed triples of the same era as y 199 sprint st. Will these work on my bike?

Not trying to be impolite, but after reading your posts here recently, I think you bought the wrong bike.

Seems like you're trying to turn your Sprint into a Gixxer.

I'm a little lost, how have I ever given the impression of wanting to make my bike a gsxr? I guess cause I'm a little shaky at high speeds and wasnt sure why, or perhaps cause I want to show off the not often seen and never on a japanese bike SSSA, or cause I was a little lost on how to change my oil. maybe cause I dont like the half polished frame and mis matched wheels (one chrome one not polished) or maybe cause I want to paint the bike BRG. Which one is it.

Let me state clearly that in no way whatsoever have I nor will I ever want to own a Japanese bike. I love the sprint and love the way it handles, when I can afford it I will be stepping up to a brand new one.

Can't speak for anybody else, but I got the impression the previous owner of your bike was trying to make it a Gixxer. Sounds to me like you're trying to make it a Daytona.

Cheers,
-Kit

That may be true, he did have a honda cbr something or other so. I just want to make my bike MINE. make it ride like it should and look the way I want it to. I dont see how adding a high exhaust and custom paint is me trying to make it a gxsr.

I would like to have a 675 as second bike to play with. but in all reality my next bike will either be a new sprint or some form of custom made old school triumph bobber. need a garage first though. Apartment living kinda limits you in your options.

but for the record I absolutely LOVE the ride and handling of my current bike, I have no plans to ever get rid of it.

FWIW. It is your bike and you can mod it anyway you want to but to be honest some of your earlier posts made it appear (to me) that you were dissatisfied with the bike. Obviously I was not correct.

My observation and my $0.02 AUD. Ride on...
