Hepco & Becker hard bags
Just fitted these to the Sprint, they are the 40lt 'Junior' bags. I used the SW Motech frames, which are strong, easy to fit AND I can retain my Ventura rack. This gives me total storage of ~ 130lt. The bags easily hold a helmet and come with a solid reputation of being strong and dust/waterproof. The best part is they're half the cost of the fly-open Triumph OEM bags. I think they look okay, what do ya reckon?

Not bad. I was looking at the H&B "Journey" panniers, mostly because they're sorta sleek, and have paintable infills.
Only thing that stopped me is I just can't get past how far out the SW Motech rack sticks out, especially on the 955 Sprints.
Looks like an oil rig turned on its side.
Seems to be a little closer on the 1050.

Hi,
H&B's look OK in my opinion
Junior is a very good choice. They are told as a very good quality bags.
Another way is H&B "Journey" (attention Croak) - two weeks ago I went for holidays with friends. One of them had bought CBF1000 with such a bags (almost new) and the topcase cracked just during riding - with nothing inside !!
My friend ordered a set of "Junior" bags after that Look wore but have a better quality.
And me - I've got my Givi rack with old Kappa 44lt paniers and Givi Maxia as topcase and I'm glad

Hey Croak, If you have a 99 - 04 ST the factory luggage works really well.
Getting hold of it with all the bracket work may be a bit of an issue these days.
Brett.

I have used the SW Motech mounting system with Givi E 36 bags off fleabay. As far as looks go I reckon that the 05 and up are naff with hard bags of any sort. The 99 to 04 with factory bags looked OK except for the muffler pointing at an odd angle. For appearance take em off. The width is an issue untill you get used to it. We went over to NZ early this year and hired bikes with Givi bags. The hire shop advised to leave the bags on as they act as cheap crash bars in the case of an adventure. The mob that I travelled with proved this 3 times, and all without any claim by the hire company. Hard bags such as H & B or Givi at least can be used on other bikes when it comes time to change. I bought my 06 just before they came with 'free' bags. I don't regret not having OEM stuff as what I have works well and is transferrable and was relatively cheap.
Cheers, Simmo

Mate, they don't look too bad at all. I've got a set of the 40l Junior Flash (paintable infill panel) bags in the shed waiting to be fitted up if I ever get home for more than a day at a time. I'd been looking at them and thinking that maybe I'd made a mistake buying the bigger ones, but your photos have convinced me otherwise so thanks for that. I do have to say that I bought the H&B's after looking at most of the options and figuring that the construction was significantly better than anything else I saw.
Looking forward to some time off soon - fit the bags and the CF hugger that's sitting beside them on the work bench, and then go test out the new suspension... if only the work would let up and make way for some play time. Bah Humbug!!!
Cheers & Beers,
Muz

Works really well except, of course, they leak like a sieve. At least mine do...

Mick,
Good show on the H&B bags!
I wish I had gone with them instead of the too small Triumph bags.
The Triumph bags look great, but too small for my traveling.

Yes mine did as well. It took some trial and error and a bit of work with a tube of silicon, but I eventually managed to keep the water out.

I do not have an OEM bags, but still deciding which non OEM to take GIVI or HB. I am more to HB, because they do not look so huge. Could you post some photos? Thank you.
