Rim Torque Values

I've got new tires to install on my '03 ST. What's the torque values for the front & rear rims? Thanks!

Hope this is what you're looking for

I assume by the torque value of the rim you're looking for the torques of the spindle assembly and the retaining nut.

For the front, the spindle (axle) is 60 Nm (it's a 15/16" socket or a 24mm), the brake caliper bolts (T55 Torx bit) are 40 Nm, and the pinch bolts (dunno the size) are 20 Nm. I know because I just replaced my front tire today.

The rear retaining nut (I forget the size) is 146 Nm.

If you need the torques in lb-in, multiply by 8.85. For lb-ft, multiply by 0.74.

Thanks Dave, exactly what I needed to know. "Spindles" was the word I couldn't think of, rim was all I could come up with.

Cool

Glad I could help. Oh, by the way, I discovered something regarding the front tyre removal. If you remove the reflector bolts on the fork tubes, it allows the front fender to come up and lets the front wheel come out much easier, especially if one is doing the wheel removal/installation in their garage/driveway.

Have fun!
