I broke a fuel fitting while doing the pressure regulator modification. Does anyone know if the team triumph fuel fittings are of the dry break design? They don't give this information on their web site, and they're not open today.

Hi nsx,
Your fittings are supposed to be changed out under a recall. The new fittings are ALOT less prone to breaking as the are metal. Check with your dealer and "remind" him that there is a recall on the plastic connectors.

The fittings from triumph are not as durable as the ones from Team Triumph, which I installed. The female bit that goes into the tank is metal, but the male part is plastic. Get the TT ones, and hit your dealer up for a face shield or something.

I have the new "recall" fitting on my ST and I still smell some gas. I believe the plastic fitting on the tank is the issue. However, the recall did not cover the plastic fittings female fuel fittings on the trunk. The dealer said I had a female connector that was cracked also. Supposedly it was replaced under warrantee. However, i still think the plastic female adapters are suspect. When I get some time, I think I may spring for the TT ones myself. Or another all metal brand.

I had it backwards. Colder Products sell fittings as well. You have to specify the Viton gas resistant o-rings.
