First long ride on a new Sprint

IXIL exhaust no heat seat. Its been 32C + here for days and the only heat i notice is coming up under my thighs. Not to bad though. Tranny is like a rifle bolt. It gets easier but it is notchy and wonderfully British.

250miles would be a real good ride for me. I dont get much more time to go for more then a hour or so at a time.

Nothing wrong with a 250mile ride, especially if you have plenty of nice windy roads

The g'box will improve with age as it wears in and oil type does make a difference to the shift feel and it does not have to be full synthetic either.

Calliway's term "riflebolt" action aptly describes the Triumph box it requires a positive shift that improves with age. It also changes more smoothly the faster uyou ride.
