... great thread adg

It will probably take a decent run before you can say whether there is an improvement in performance.

I'll be honest - I could care less if there is any more performance.

This bike is plenty fast for me, all I wanted was more sound.

It's like when I put an exhaust on my RS 4 - it was just for sound, the car was already stupid fast:

Thumbs up excellent write-up and timely

Thanks for the great pics. With your sequence and Calliway's on the IXILs, I am set when mine arrive, particularly since I have the 2nd Calliway bracket in existence (#2 of a limited production run).

Iceman - have you never redlined away from rest? It's intoxicating and I'm old enough to know better!

Dont forget the original exhaust install write up by OnD with the Tridents. Excellent write up and was the template for my IXIL write up.

Didn't see that... However that mainly focuses on the Tridents, and mine focuses on removing all the trim pieces. I am a pictoral learner, so photos help me, and hopefully they helped some other people on here, too.

I went about 20 miles on the bike today, and I am absolutely in love with the exhaust. It's loud, but not too loud. Just perfect.

Of course it focused on the Tridents. It was a Trident installation write up. What did you expect? Pictures of fairing pieces and wrenches. Oh yeah, here is a picture of a bolt....you turn it to the left to remove it. This is how you put a socket on a bolt. Gimme a break!

While you critique my pitiful installation writeup, consider that I don't smell very good either. Maybe you want to continue your comments on that aspect?

OK seriously, this is getting really old. I am going to respectfully ask that if you don't have anything worthwhile to add to my threads, that you don't post in them. I don't know why you always get defensive. No where did I say that your write up was "pitiful". I didn't even know you had written one, nor in my post above did I critique it.

I merely posted these photos so that other people could see pictures of what it entails to install an exhaust. While you are very knowledgable, and you make that ever so clear in every one of your posts if someone disagrees with you, you need to remember that not everyone has your knowledge. So, please... just chill out. I know you have been here a long time, but you make this a hostile environment for no good reason.

I did not see any critique here, just another informative posts with great photos. I appreciate all the info I get from this site. I also want to thank oldndumb for his post as well.
