I'm from over in the TT section, but my dad has been having problems with his Sprint and wondering if you guys could help.
The bike has had a problem starting laterly, and if you dont get it first time then there wont be enough charge to get it starting again.
I tried to battery test mention by OldnDumb in this thread

Fully charged battery sits at around 12.35V which I know is a bit low but its been recharged so many times I think its dead (the drop test backs this up with it dropping to 8.5V).Anyway, started the bike up and it sat at about 14V, rev'd up to 3k the battery fluctuated around 9V to 11V, so I suspect the alternator.
What's the chance that it's a poor connection in bike ignition though? The bike was stolen a few years back and the ignition had to be fixed by a garage, and our local Triumph dealer said they did a pretty crap job.
