I had the fairings off for some stuff I was doing to the bike today and discovered this connection. Just curious, what is it for?

More information please; I can't tell where that is. Left side, right side, in front of the engine, behind or on top of the transmission?

Sorry, pic is from the right side. You can see the cooling fins of the rectifier on the right side of the pic.

Other Motorcycle: Cannondale Tandem
Extra Motorcycle: Cannondale R1000
Vapor recirc. (carbon cannister) purge valve on California bikes. No connect on yours.

You're welcome.
FWIW, one wire is switched 12V from the ECU circuit. The other is an active low (switched ground) signal out of the ECU.
