Whats this then? I was doing maintenance on my 04 955i Sprint, when I spied a LED in my Cyclops light. Anyone seen this before? it looks like a factory install. Its right next to the incandescent lamp.
It is supposed to be there and is activated when you install the DataTool Alarm system.
When the alarm system is installed it flashes at different frequencies which mean different things. It shows the alarm is active and if it has been triggered and what mode it is in.

Thanks DaveM. I could go nuts then, istalling my own Alarm. A cool looking flashing Tri colour LED, or maybe a .... or a .... how about a... yeahhh! Back to the LAB Alfred we have work to do....
I was all set to put a "scanner" array of red LEDs in the eyeball, kinda like the Cyclons in the old Battlestar Galactica, when a buddy reminded me it was illegal to have anything like that on the front of the bike.
