I want to change my windscreen--suggestions?

955 Sprint ST. Had this screen when I bought it. I have since removed the black edging.

I appreciate the wind buffeting the extra height provides, but I am just not getting over the looks of it. It just looks too "old man"-ish. I wasn't as conscious about this until about a month ago, when a bunch of bikes started parking at my gym, most of which are rice rockets; I think my Sprint is a good looking bike, but it looks like a Gold Wing trike next to those things. I'm really starting to hate how it "curls" at the top.

I know I want a lower screen, and I'm considering a different color, such as a dark smoke tint.

What do you guys think of getting an aftermarket, stock-size screen, in dark smoke say, for this? Would the wind be terrible? I'm 5'10". 31" inseam.

What is the best aftermarket screen? Powerbronze? Zero Gravity? What is "double bubble"?

Thanks in advance...go ahead and give me your opinion. I can take it.

Double Bubble

Double Bubble
I have an 01 Sprint ST and love the look of the Double Bubble windshield from Zero Gravity. I'm 5'8" and the wind is deflected to my chin area. With the Triumph tall touring screen the wind hit right at the helmet visor creating a great deal of noise. I felt that the stock Triumph screen didn't provide enough wind/rain protection.

Thanks Rudcluti, I just ordered a ZG double bubble in dark smoke. Do you have a pic of your bike?

I have an 05 sprint but I am currently waiting for a MRA racing double bubble. They are the first to make a double bubble and it was 133.00 including tax and shipping to my door. It should be here around the 21st I will let you know what I think of it. I am going on a trip down to Utah for the motorcycle races May 31, June 1 at Miller motorsports. Woo hoo..

Also check out the MRA Touring Vario screen. It has a seven position adjustable airfoil on the top edge. I love mine. In town I put it all the way down and it doesn't look too clunky, on the highway I raise it up. I'm 5'10' and with it in the raised position the wind hits the top of my helmet, but under 80-90mph it isn't intrusive. Above 80-90mph I tend to hunker down a little anyway. Above 110mph I lower it down and just lay on the tankbag. It really cut down on the buffeting, but it did increase the wind noise some. Everything in life is a trade. They're made in Germany, you can get them at TwistedThrottle.com. for around $140.

NONONONO, MRA is the only way to go. Period! Not only are they the best made, wind tunnel tested and MotoGP teams use them but are a work of art too. The others pale by comparison in all respects. Really.

Cool Picture

I tried to upload a picture of my bike to this thread, but since I used in in another tread, I can't.
If you'd like to see a picture of my 01 Sprint with it's modifications, You can check it out in my Photo Album.
Since the picture was taken, I've mounted a set of PIAA Driving lights on the forks where the orange lollipop reflectors are normally attached. They work wonderfully, but that is for another thread.
