IXIL Sound Clip

Here is me and the Sprint doing a quick bomb. Sorry about the wind noise. It's really hard to get a day here in the flatlands that are without winds.

PS I hope the embedding works....

Windy but still a nice little slice of the sound. You can get the idea anyway.

Can we take it that you are back in Canadia now? How was San Francisco for you? Too bad you aren't here this week; it's supposed to be nearly 80 deg F by mid-week.

HA! Yes I am a hooligan at heart. As far as traffic, that road is a brand new road and not even open yet. It's right beside my house and I had the baffles out so I didn't want to disturb anyone to much.

Yes, back in Canada. San Fran was amazing. Where else can you see a Dali, a Matisse, a Rembrandt, a Warhol and a Picaso all in about an hour! I really enjoyed my time in San Fran but man is it noisy and busy. I felt totally overwhelmed the first day but got my legs by day 2. There are a million + people in Edmonton but spread out over an area probably 8 times bigger then SF. I loved the architecture and the F-Line.

Sorry again about the wind and I will try to make another later tonight when the wind dies down. The camera mic is just really sensitive.

These threads on the IXIL are killing me. In the last few weeks I had just about convinced myself I needed the Trident or IXIL exhaust. I talked myself out of it so I could spend the cash on other gear like new riding jacket and pants, tail tidy, etc. Now that I have ordered them you post this,

What I am trying to say is it sounds great and now I have to start talking myself out of an exhaust again. At least until I can rake together some more cash.

I think I could see the reflection off your big grin when you pulled the first u-turn and goosed it. Enjoy

Yeah, big ole grin. It sounds like a F1 coming down pit row when I am coming back towards the camera.

Try using an old pair of your wife's pantyhose (or your own if she won't let you have hers ) and cut a section out and wrap around a o-ring or large key chain and set it about 2-3 inches in front of the mic with something like tape and a Popsicle stick. It should reduce the wind noise on the mic a bit.

Yeah SF is not big geographically but it is the second most densely populated city in the US next to New York City. And I'm convinced we have the loudest firetrucks on the continent. But it is great fun and glad you had a good time.

Heck yeah about the firetrucks.... we stayed on Powell St right by the street car turn around and man the fire trucks..... they still use the old wind-up alarms and I have heard nothing that even compares to volume.

I'll try that with the mic... good tip.

WOOOW! Sounds great! I can't believe how great the Ixil's (and really the Tridents too) sound on our bikes! The sound of you coming up to the camera from a distance is just plain awesome (and I don't think you were really putting the whip to her either). Such a beautiful note compared to the inline 4 shrieks we all are accustomed to hearing.

Now, PLEASE do another vid when the wind is a little less crazy. Oh yeah, feel free to really ring her out too! lol
