I raced a dude in his 911 Porsche convertible. There was nobody around but him and I. I know it was dumb. but flame me anyway!

I actually didn't know we were racing...
He pulled beside me at a light and gave me a nod. I just thought he was being friendly... so I nod back. A few seconds later the light is green and he peels off!
so I react and cranked the throttle hard..... He had a good 3/4 second head start.
my front end was coming up... so I let it ... tapped into 2d and passed him (in a wheelie, a nice high one too, LOL). He looked shamed as he laughed at the next light.

sure glad I didn't get busted for that!!

Good thing that there wasn't a mile or so to run up! Porsche rates my stock 99 C4 Carrera Cabriolet with a top speed of 175mph. I wouldn't know as I've only seen about 140 so far...
