How did you choose your username?
How did you choose your username?
Mine doesn't actually have anything to do with riding. I used to go opal mining in the Lightning Ridge area with my ex father-in-law a couple of years ago and as a result, developed a love for opal. Black opal in particular. The best quality you can get is red on black (red flash on a black base). It also happens to be my ebay username and it was easier to use something I already had rather than choose yet another name to remember.

Interesting thread
Well,
this may not shock some of you.............
I was a bit dumb when I joined I didn't realize I had chosen mine or I may have decided on something terribly clever......... then again maybe I am not capable of such things.
We did do this once before but it was years ago so this should be interesting redonblack, good thread idea.
Anyhow it is easy to remember seeing as it is simply my name!
cheers,
DaveM

I got this nick when I first started using the internet I’d use chat rooms during the evening, but 1 evening, I was in a biker chat room, some idiot didn’t figure out that I was a bloke, and asked if I was male/female, which I replied male, but the idiot didn’t get it and kept asking over and over if I was male/female, which began to irritate me. So after a while I snapped back at him “FFS I got a pair o` bollocks, what and why don’t you understand ………. I’m a bloke”
So over time it morphed into Peirreobollox, Peirre, etc, the exact spelling of which depends on the software used by the forum when I 1st register, whether it allows commas, apostrophies etc, and some of these varients have come from other members of forums I use

My username is an evolution of one that I've been using online for many years, since before the internet, back in the days of computer bulletin boards and FidoNet etc.
I started out using 'Razoo', as in that great Aussie expression 'not worth a brass razoo'. Somewhere along the way, I'm not sure exactly when or why, it was shortened to simply 'Raz'.
More recently, the 2133 was added due to the username 'Raz' being mostly unavailable when signing up for forums etc.
As for the significance of the 2133, there really isn't any. It was the clock speed of my CPU at the time and the first number that popped into my head.

Mines as easy as Dave's ... my name abbreviated + ST
Or I could have chosen from several other 'nicknames' but this is a 'family' oriented site!
Cheers, Graeme.

user name
Mine was my boat name. Turns out 'Riptide' is a pretty common screen name so I put 262 at the end because the boat was a Cobalt 262.
