Lightbulb headlight wiring mod

I have a Sprint ST 2004 and I want to have both headlights on with low and high beam, does anyone have a wiring diagram or modded theirs
I hate only having the left for low beam and right only for high beam

Hi Razor, welcome to the forum.

Actually, you do not need to modify any wiring to activate both lights on hi/low beam, you only need to fit the 2 missing relays under the right side front fairing. If you have a peek under there, you will see the two empty relay sockets.

I believe the Triumph part numbers for the relays is T2500234. I picked up my relays from eBay, and the seller did mention something about the battery going flat if the wrong relays were used.

Mark

Edit: I just looked in the 'Aftermarket Part Numbers' sticky thread and found the following info;

"Relays to run both headlights (Non-USA Models), courtesy of Welshrob: the relays you need are 4 pin 12 volt 40 amp with a resistor (6800 also works but doesn`t have the resistor) for surge protection. The common type in Australia are made by Narva and the part number is 68004."

Thanks Steven.

I don't know enough to help out too often, but I do try to help whenever I can. I figure it's the least I can do, given the wealth of info I've gotten from others here over the last few months.

As for the headlights; I found that activating both improved my night time vision significantly. Also, I recently fitted a couple of Osram Night Breaker bulbs and these really made a difference. Highly recommended.

Hi razor

welcome to Triumphrat.net and the Sprint forum.

I had the relays fitted before I picked up my bike when new along with a few other things.

Enjoy the forum.
