Motorrad Magazine's best Sport Tourer

I don't see it mentioned here, but I think the Triumph ST was voted the best Sport Tourer in the German Magazine's 2008 survey.

Sprint ST is readers’
bike of the year

Triumph's sport-touring Sprint ST has been voted the best motorcycle in the touring class by readers of the influential German publication, Motorrad. More than 35,000 readers from across Germany took part in the survey where the Sprint ST eclipsed the locally-built BMW models to take the best in class.

What do you like the most about your ST?

I like lifting the front wheel as I accelerate hard out of steep corners. When I upright the bike coming out of 90 deg turns (stop signs or red lights, anything), the front wheel just skips along the ground and lifts up.

I also like coasting downhills with my hands off the bars, only steering the bike by pressing down on the opposite footpeg.

...never having to downshift is on the list also.

...not to mention letting someone else ride the ST and hearing their comments on it.

My brother, who just bought a BMW r1200rt, has become very interested in my ST lately.

No, not surprised at all.
Those of us that are having great experiences on our ST's know they are the best in it's class.
I rode to work in the rain today, and rain or not, I can't wait to get back on it later today.

...and the best thing is you don't need to sell any of your children to buy one.

You just sell them and then steal them back.
