Nuvi 350

Hello. Is anybody here running a Garmin Nuvi 350 on their 99-04 Sprints? While I realize its not specifically rated for motorcycles, does it perform well as long as its kept dry. Any vibration issues or such? Lastly, it seems to mount really well with suction cup on the speedo. The GPS displays speed (much more accurately) and I usually watch RPMS to determine speed and gear anyways. Has anyone tried running like this? I wanted to try a cheaper GPS before dropping the really big money on the Zumo 550. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have mounted my nuvi on the speedo to check the gps speed.

I would be very nervous about it falling off. In my car it has come loose a few times because of vibration and heat.

Easy to see display even in bright light.

Nuvi

I would be careful with the NUVI suction cup. My suction cup has gone AWOL on me a couple of times in the car. If that happens on the bike then you will be more complicated than just grabbing it off the passenger seat.

Thanks for the info. As secure as it seems mounted on the speedo in the garage, I am concerned about it falling off too. Looks like I'll have to look into the RAM mouts I am reading about. Thanks.

Nuvi 360....

I have a Nuvi 360 ..... I just set the route before I take off, put it in the map pocket of my tank bag.... and run headphones to hear it yell at me when I miss a turn... the only goofy part is using the ghetto-rigged powerlet / 12 v adapter...... other than that I've been really happy with it... at less than half the price of the motorcycle specific Garmin
