sprint alternator drive

Desperately seeking the little rubber bumpers inside the alternator drive for a '96 Sprint. All the dealers I've contacted say the can't get them.

There's a vibration that increases with engine rpm, and it's gradually gotten worse over the past two years. I don't know if this will fix it, but those rubber bumpers are badly deteriorated.

Any help appreciated.

I am not sure if this will work in your situation. If you can get some red (high temp) rtv sealant, try putting a dab of it on the old rubber bushings to to build them back up a bit. Let it dry overnight or most of the day then reinstall. Of course the best cure would be to find the OEM parts, but in a pinch this might help alleviate the vibrations at the alternator.
