Sprint RS vs Deer- Deer won, Sprint zero.

Hey there-

I'm new to this forum, and Triumphs in general. I've had my '04 Sprint RS for about a year now and have loved ripping around on it.

However, a late night ride down a country road (stupid, I know) led to an unfortunate encounter with a Rodent of Unusual Size, or a deer, and now my fairings are all but mangled. So:

1) Does anyone have any suggestions, other than forking $$$ to a dealer for new plastic? Are there aftermarket bits available?

2) Can I leave them off and find somewhere else to mount a pair of aftermarket front turn signals, and just call it good?

I basically don't care how it looks- in fact I almost prefer the naked look.

Also- does anyone out there have a spare oil cooler/radiator? The rodent didn't have too much respect for that, either...

Thanks for any help!

Yep, late night riding in deer country is dumb

That said, try fleabay, craigs list or Sprint Manufacturing in England.

Re: the forums, what Dave said.

You're lucky that you and the bike are not that badly off. Good luck with the repair.
