Installed OEM ST hard bags to 00 RS

I was finally able to finally get the parts together to put OEM ST bags on my RS. Believe it or not it was not as hard as I thought it was going to be. Here is a break down of the parts, where I got them from, and costs.

Hard Bags ebay $300.00
Rails ebay $50.00
Pass Rear Foot peg ebay $20.00
Frame rails and Support Brackets Dealer $170.00
2 8mm and 2 6mm bolts Hardware Store $1.50
2 cans of Flat Black Paint Hardware Store $3.00(only needed 1)

Now these bags are not the wonderful racing yellow that my bike is but that might change soon too. Also I have the original right Pass Foot Peg that I need to replace (made a bracket to hang the exhaust and mount the bag hardware to) as it sits alittle higher than the left one.

Your post is dead to me unless you include pics of this potentially very cool addition to a rare and wonderful RS...

Very nice. I always thought the RS would be great with the hard bags.

Thanks everyone. I guess my next question is should i paint them the wonderfully hard to find racing yellow, or leave them flat black?

If you're sure they're keepers, paint 'em.

If you think you may be moving to a new bike one day, don't. That way, they're easier to sell.
