The 07 has higher bars and windscreen. Also, has revised ECU for easier starting. You would have to decide if those are worth the price diff.

differences:

the 2005 is now a considered a classic
the 2006 sprint is faster looking.
the 2007 was a preview of the 2008 but resembles the classic look of the 05's.

*this has all been completely useless information....
but somehow you are still reading. whatever you decide on...
just buy one!

The 07 bars are higher, the passenger footrest are lower. The rear seat is slightly lower. As has been mentioned the screen became a double-bubble type.
Various other small refinements as mentioned before.
I tried the 06, my wife, who comes out often with me, hated it. yet she is fine with the 07. Ended up with an 07 abs. Red.
Love it

That deal started with the 06s.

The 07 would be the best out of the box but then you would want to change to the lower sportier handlebars of the 05 and there seems to be limits on what you can do tune wise to the 07 ECU so wait, scrap that. The 05 is the best. Like mine, in Caspian blue.
