Toll pass transponder stealth instal
I credit this to whoever posted it here in the forums. I got my second EZpass in the mail today and slid it inside my bike and it worked great! No messing around with swapping it out and no worries of it being stolen (unless they take the whole bike).
I simply lifted the windscreen out of the way and unscrewed the console cover behind it. I affixed the EZpass to the inside of that cover plate (right side up, of course) with the velcro/sticker system provided with my EZpass and reinstalled everything. On my test run through the tolls it worked like a charm and you cant see a thing. Apparently it has no problem transmitting through a layer of windscreen and plastic.
Thanks to whoever posted that!

Plus that location does not interfere with it uploading your location to the Mothership.

Don't laugh, it is being used in civil cases to verify locations for such nasty things as divorces.

So the moral of that story is, if you are going to cheat on your significant other, leave the EZpass at home, be a big spender and spring for the toll?

the problem with 'hard wiring' your transponder is if you get low batteries or some issue and you end up at a closed gate that wont yield you CANT just hand the unit to the operator to bang on the gate and scan.

For our system, you never stop to hand it off even if it is broken. If you drive through and it doesnt ring you up then a picture of your plate is taken. An operator matches your plate to your account and charges it off properly. If you have no account with that plate number then you are fined $75.

Hey, thanks, Hatchetman--I've got an EZPass and was trying to figure out where to keep the thing.
What year Sprint have you got? I wonder if I could do something similar on my '99, or if I ought to just keep it in my pocket.
