Check out this pic of my skidmarx!
It came high-gloss black... it looked too shiny to me. I squirted it with some rattle-can flat black. It still has too much gloss (looks like a mismatch to the frame/sssa) It will either bother me, and I'll re-squirt it this summer, or it won't and I'll just leave it.
Anyway, I just wanted to see how many people would open a post with 50/50 odds of seeing a picture of underpants.

Yes, I chose unwisely. Do you have any recommendations? Where to buy?

Check your local ACE hardware
Look for a "hammer finish"
I was able to match up my handlebars nicely (yes, silver, but same idea)

I did see hammer finish. It looks cool, but I was trying to match to the cast aluminum stipple texture on the frame and sssa. You can't tell from the pic but the paint did have a bit of stipple texture, just a bit too much gloss.

I think the hammer finish would be a pretty close match, at least as close as you are going to get w/out purposely roughing up the plastic

Shemp-I painted mine with some texture plastic paint from Orchard Supply Hardware. It was their brand so I think there is probably somebody making it for them. It matches the texture and the color of the frame almost perfectly and once the paint is dty it bonds with the plastic so it's very durable.

Shemp....I just went the Carbon Fiber route and didn't have to worry about matching it to the frame ...the down side is I had to add everything else Carbon Fiber at the expen$e of some dead presidents

I plan on color matching my hugger. No one's done it yet...
I think there's too much dark coloring down in that area, needs some CASPIAN BLUE!

I tried some flat black to touch up my frame. Once I cleaned the frame, it looks to me like there is a bit of sparkle in the paint. Oops!
Maybe I won't clean it often, that will cover it up.
