Hello all. I'm in Colorado. I've had my sprint for a few years now. '12 GT. Has touring windscreen, shorty levers, throttlemeister, gen mar risers, trident exhaust, Corbin seat, and some plugins for my heated vest!! I ride almost year round, except for when it snows and if the temp gets below about 24°f.

I was going to ask about rear tire removal, but just came across a video and it looks pretty basic. Tire was totally worn. Got home from work the other day and saw a big chunk of steel exposed. Going to throw on some metzeler roadtec 01's.

Welcome to the forum!

Not much to the wheel removal/installation. You'll almost certainly need to take the tailpipe off, but otherwise it just takes a breaker bar and a large socket. Pay attention to how the washers are arranged as you take them off, so you put them back on the same way.

You might be able to get the axle nut off, but getting the wheel out is another story. It's a lot easier to pull the can off than it is to work the wheel out with the can on, at least on a 955.

Cheers,
-Kit

Welcome. GT owner here and I would second removing the can. If you do the tire change on your center stand as I do, you will need the space to swing the tire out from under the lower fender. You've got a nice exhaust there and you don't want to bung it up.

How do you find the Corbin seat? I've always used them in the past but have not made the switch on the GT. Do you feel the Corbin is higher or lower than the stock unit?

Pacific Blue is clearly the color with the lowest drag coefficient. Everyone knows that.

Thanks for the welcome. I will definitely move the can! The Corbin is just a tad lower, and I do find it more comfortable than the stock. It's just a bit more firm and sitting back in it cradles your ass, while if you slide up just a hair it allows you to move from side to side.
