Try a simple experiment.
The back edge of the pads is accessible without removing anything. Grab the back edge of your pads and push them just a little outward or toward their respective caliper pistons. This breaks the seal stiction. You will have to pump the lever a bit to bring them back up tight.
Is the lever firm now? If yes, you might also want to remove the reservoir cap and bellows and reinstall them. That allows the bellows to retract and improves fluid flow.
As CLB stated... try that.

Like me if you aren't up to all that messing with the brakes, take it to your dealer and have them clean and reseat your seals. Request that they massage the seals in and out during the cleaning.

Or just do the 6 pot upgrade

FYI I have 3000+ miles on my new sprint and the brake handle is getting soft, I'm going to have my dealer do exactly as I stated very soon.

I remember my Daytona 675 would stop on a dime, **** near bucked me first time I grabbed that brake handle hard, scared the spirit right outta me.

What bike did your tokico's come off of? I want to start researching this...

Did you only purchase the calipers? or the lines also?

Last question, if i buy the parts can you come over and install them J/K

Mine came off a 99 ZX-7R Ninja There a a lot of bikes that use the same calipers. Check out F4sSprintST's 6 pot thread for a list. The busa auctions seem to be higher priced so look at the other bikes for lower prices. Mine were $29 + shipping. All I got were the calipers. I didn't need anything else. They bolted right on and if you just keep the reservoir topped off while you swap them, you just need to bleed them and ride. Of course I can always make house calls if there is a beer or 12 involved.

You won't get a beer here. My brakes have never given me a moments issue. I can stoppie and make the front tire bawl at will all under complete modulation and control so how will 6 pots improve my stopping distances?
BTW I have ridden a lot and I mean a lot of Sprints and never felt a mushy brake.

BTW instead of getting the 675 buttons just get the seals.

Ditto Don

I totally agree with Don as my brakes are the same as his.

For what it's worth the six pot Tokicos do not have the progression of the stock Nissan 4 potters on the Sprint.

Also, Suzuki has in '08 listened to it's Busa riders and changed to a 4 pot brake caliper as the 6 pot Tokicos have the reputation for lack of progression and requiring a very firm lever action to pull the bike up.
