Triumph Quality in question....

I wonder why everytime I read something in a bike magazine..or even on this website thats got a link showing the new twin parallel cruiser..that everyone who responded to that new bike coming said "if there quality is still sub standard I wont buy one". I dont think the quality has been all that bad...granted we have the crap rubber relay holders and battery holders etc but I dont think our bikes are any worse or better than most Japanese or European brands...yah? Nah?

Ask a Ducati owner how many times their bike has been serviced. Not anything against Ducati they make great stuff. But my girlfriend's dad who had a 1997 748, had his in the shop a lot.

I've over 6k miles, only a single issue so far - cross threaded bolt on a battery cable

Maybe its because of the cost. These bikes arent cheap and the quality is equal to the Japanese bikes. Maybe they are refereing to if I am going to pay 14,000 dollars for a bike it better be built to perfection.

I would say that my 05 ST is great quality. My only gripe, and it is my only gripe is the levers. I think they are just substandard in fit. They should be tight and precise like a Porsche when I think they are loose and ugly like a Massey Ferguson. Hence why Pazzo's are on the target list.

I dont have problems with heat, headlights or really anything else. I love the tranny, I love the motor and no bike from Japan has as nice of rims as the Sprint.

I find it amusing that they are questioning the quality of the big twin cruiser, of all bikes.... IMHO there is lower hanging fruit in that market segment, namely our friends in Milwaukee.

Totally totally agree. They stop their bikes from leaking the oil through the pours of the metal and they get accollades. Even though they are still spending most of their time in the garage. They work on a 10 hour ride, one hour to fix ratio.

Funny thing today a guy in on a Harley Road King pulls up beside me on my Triumph, wont even look at me the bike is shaking itself to bits at idle. He has his chaps, Harley Jacket, Harley gloves, Peanut Harley Helmet, Skull bandana and tons of farkle on his bike.... which was purple. yes purple.
