Which intercom?

Anyone use a StarCom Advance system rider and pillion. Only want to spend £150 ($300).
Recommendations? (Sorry too tired to type full sentences).

Check out Autocom in Warwick, England. They probably outfit more teams and companies than all of the others combined. A bit pricey, but you can tailor the components for exactly what your needs are.

My brother has the Blueant system. I dunno how much that costs in your neck of the woods, but he reckons its brilliant and theres nothing to install on the bike.

I have the starcom system, 20.000Ks two up touring.
great system but requires care in the setup, tuning.
It is expensive but in my opinion worth every cent.

Blueant

We have all sorts of different coloured ants up here in Queensland.

Green ones give a nasty bite.

I have the Starcom Adv. connected to that is my Zumo 550 and ipod

you should look closely at what accessories you`ll need/want to fit to it before making your final choice. as the other accesories (such as extension cables) you may req from starcom can be expensive. depending where you want to site the base unit, and where you want the exit points, (in my case the exit for rider/passenger, behind the tank and at the grabrail) so you may req 1 if not 2 extension cables or a mounting bracket. but the speed of shipping is good, so is the over the phone tech back up advice

So think carefully where you are going to site the base unit before ordering.

Cables for any brand are expensive! They know when they have a captive audience and you're in too deep to walk away.

the dedicated (isolated) cable for the Starcom/zumo connection (CAB-55) is $54 USD, £30GBP. and the MUS-04 cable for connecting Ipods and other items are similarly priced
I know this as I recently bought 2 x MUS-04 & the CAB-55 which set me back around £80GBP inc shipping

My riding bud's and I just purchased the Scala Q2. Great system. We've enjoyed the intercomm. It also connects via bluetooth to my blackberry and has an FM radio built in. Don't really need the iPod anymore. We are able to hear each other fine even at highway speeds. At $170, worth every penny.
