955 Sprint ST Parts Availability

I’m close to buying either a 2001 or 2003 955 Sprint ST, and I wanted to check the online parts situation, as I live 150 miles from the nearest dealer.

I looked at a few different sites (http://www.triumphestore.com, http://triumphparts.englemotors.com, etc., and they all seem to use the same system, which uses the following pull down menus:

CHOOSE YOUR TRIUMPH
• All years – I select 2001
• All models – I select Sprint
• Driveline – Choices are:
o All
o RS > 139276
o RS 139277>
• All categories (choices include Suspension, Wheels and Tires, Engine, etc.)

I take it the “RS” options are for the Sprint RS, but shouldn’t there be an “ST” option?

When I selected “All” and chose the category “Wheels and Tires,” there was no diagram for the rear wheel (only the front).

As I explored the other parts categories, it seems not all parts were listed. For example, under “Suspension,” if I click on the diagram for “Rear Suspension Unit Single Sided Swingarm, only the rear shock is shown. What about other parts that make up the rear suspension?

Am I missing something or is it the case that some parts, such as the bearings, washers, and other pieces of the rear hub, are not available from Triumph? Is there something like a parts manual that lists all parts and numbers regardless of their availability from Triumph?

Thanks for any light you can shed on this. I hope I’m just missing something obvious…

Parts are available, but Triumph really screwed the pooch when they updated the online fiche recently. You may still be able to look at the fiche at Bike Bandit, which doesn't rely on Triumph's fiche, or perhaps at a non-US dealer like World of Triumph.

BB's fiche are as screwed up as all the Triumph online dealers.

I needed to order some stupid little stuff for my TT and about half of the diagrams are missing. Luckily its 100ish round trip to either of the dealers near me. If you can get the part numbers and call them to order, GREAT. But I couldn't get the PN, so off for an early Saturday ride.

And ALL of the diagrams for 05'-10' Sprints are missing!

BTW World of Triumph has all the diagrams, but their PN's are completely different from TUSA.

I talked with the parts dept. at Engle Motors (the Triumph dealer in Kansas City) and they said they could see all the diagrams, so I thought maybe the problem was with my computer. So, I tried other operating systems and browsers (Windows 7, Windows 10, Chrome, Firefox), but got the same results. I should have asked what type of system Engles was using to see the diagrams.

The prices on the Fowlers Parts website are much better than my local dealer. Of course the shipping costs to the US will be high. Has anyone in the US ever tried Fowlers?

Bike Bandit told me they stopped carrying Triumph parts. I assume the few parts still shown on their website are just what they have left in stock.

Never assume with Bike Bandit, even when your assumption is that they'll ship what you've ordered.

To the best of my knowledge, they never maintained any Triumph stock.

You can actually call Hermy's and speak to someone knowledgeable; that's what I do now if I'm not sure about something.

Cheers,
