Boots... Worthy of a trackday, comfortable enough to tour longdistance?

Hi all,

Title says it all. Looking for the best of both worlds. Must be available in the US and I don't really want to spend more than $250..

Thanks,

MD

IMO, any boot that is qualified for a track day, and fits you comfortably, would also be suitable for touring.

Personally, I love my Sidi Vertigos. I have the Air model, for touring you would want the Goretex version for wet weather. Extremely light, very comfortable, very protective, easy zipper entry and replaceable armour. About $325.00 though.

I use these

They look very well made, they're comfortable on & off the bike, totally waterproof & cost about US $90, a lot less than any other pair of boots that I was considering.

ditto.....I've had a pair of their sport touring alpine stars for a couple years now and have worn them across the continent a couple times, often in pouring rain and they've never leaked and are very, very comfy.

Yep. I'm leaning towards the Alpine Star Goretex. Seem like a good compromise between safety and comfort, plus (and a big plus in my book) they are made in Europe, not in CHINA.

First off I agree with OND's post.

These are what I wear, Oxtar and Rjays are both suited to a wide foot (I can't wear Sidis too narrow) I have more than one set of gear:

Oxtar SS performance:

Rjays Altitude boot:
