Track day

Just got back from a track day and for the first time ever, I dragged a foot peg... 6-7 times It was awesome and quiet frankly, scary the first couple times I did it... it's nerve racking hearing a grinding noise when you're leaned into a turn where there shouldn't be any griding noise. hehe After the first couple times though, I just wanted to keep doing it! hehe

Talk about a BLAST though. I love track days!

I actually scraped a peg the day I bought my Trident, but I don't think I've done so since. Ironically, I'm in the process of resurrecting the 'dent as a track bike. I haven't done a track day yet, but I'm really looking forward to good pavement that's free of cops & SUVs.

Cheers,
-Kit

Wait until you scrape the center stand. That makes a lot more racket.

Dolson, Dave, this is for you... hehe

I'm just very surprised I dragged a peg before my knee... Guess my short little legs doesn't allow me to stick my knee out as far as I would like in order to scrap it before the pegs...

btw, a little off topic, but when looking at bike specs, what does the following mean:

Rake / Trail

25º / 92mm

is that the lean angle of the bike?

No. Rake is the angle of the forks from vertical. So, in your example 25 degrees rake means that the forks angle forward 25 degrees.
Trail is a little harder to explain. If you were to extend a line through the forks down to the ground, and drop a vertical line through the center line of the wheel, trail would be the distance between those two lines. I don't know if I explained it very well. Try looking at the picture in this link.

Ah yes, you explained it well enough. When you talked about it, you just reminded me that I read about it a couple years back. now I remember it all hehe thanks

Since you've scared everybody at the track, does that mean you worked out the electrical connector options?

unfortunately no. I'm back at square one when it comes to the LED license plate lights. i just realized that the connectors also need to be small enough fit through the nut that tightens it to the plate. the nut has a 10 mm outer diameter so I guess the inner diameter is what... between 6-8 mm's? and I believe those hitachi connectors will be too wide
