OK This is a two part post. First, next Sat 3/29 there is a European bike show and swap meet at the Santa Clara County fairgrounds in San Jose, CA. I planning on riding there for the day and wondered if anyone was interested in going along or meeting there. Be great to meet some fellow members. Leaving from Fresno early am (not sure time yet) and returning in the evening.

Now to the second part. A guy told about a road west from Patterson, through the mountains and down into San Jose that is supposed to be pretty good. A quick check on Google maps shows Del Puerto Canyon Rd. goes west and then you turn left on San Antonio Valley Road and proceed through a town(?) called Ashrama and then through Joseph D. Grant Park and down to San Jose.

It looks like it could be a fun road and a great alternative to 152. Looks to be about 70mi and about 2.5 hrs from Patterson. Anyone have experience on this route? Any better routes? Anything to look out for? Any help is appreciated.

No worries. Hope your move goes well. Let me know how the new tires work out for you. I'll keep in touch. Next year I'm going to get another dirt bike so hopefully I'll have time to ride down in the desert.

BTW mark a couple of dates on the calendar. May 3 Legend of the Motorcycle in Half Moon Bay. July 25 & 26 Classic Japanese Motorcycle Club Swap & Show in Auburn. Friday high they are supposed to have Speedway racing and Sat is the Show & Swap Meet always lots of very cool bikes. I'm planning on going maybe one of those will work out.

I'll hopefully be able to make some of those events. But sad news about the tires, i had to cancel the order. I went in last week and the parts dept said they weren't going to be in until mid-end of APRIL! i was a bit peeved if you can imagine.

I'm going with the Pilot Road II's still. Just ordering them on line, I'll get them installed in ridgecrest.
