Slip Ons

I am thinking about getting a 2 Bros slip on for my '01 ST. I have a D&D on it right now. Two questions...will the mapping need to be changed? and they offer 2 styles m2 & m5 any difference other than cosmetics?

Thanks

Not that I have a 01 Sprint but I love the 2 Bros cans for that generation Sprint. I think that is a great choice.

M2 Series uses a smaller tip then then M5. The M2 is 3.75" and the M5 is 4". Other then that I think that is the only difference.

The standard mount titanium looks so nice. I think there are some pics on the forum of owners with that exhaust on their bikes...

Good choice anyway.

Here are the photographs of my 2BR M2 standard mount exhaust on 2004 Sprint (posted many times before).

Yup, and if you search for one of my two bro threads, another guy posted what it looks like high mounted. Although, you could also go to Two Bros website and look at the pics they have posted as well

GBS,

To answer your first question, No.

Assuming you already had an "Off-Road" tune, the 2BR can will make no difference. Most "performance" cans, including the Triumph branded ones are virtually the same as far as the engine is concerned. The big difference is going from the stocker to the performance can.

If you do not have the tune, your bike should have the proper one loaded, and the fuel mixture set using an exhaust gas analyser. The mixture adjustment applies only to the '99-'01 models.

Here is the high mount TB CF can - I love it - have always had a TB on each of my sport bikes and have always loved the note they produce

ONe bad thing about high mount is not side bags, but I don't use them so it is all good

You will need the off road map to smooth out the lower end revs, but it won't run bad if you don't get it right away - It will run much better once you do though

Lean

Don't leave it a long time without an off road tune as it will run too lean without it and that is not good for your expensive bits inside the mill.
