Being new to Triumph, I'm just wondering if there are any riders from CT or other New England states hanging out here. I ride with a bunch of guys in the area. We've gone everywhere from the northeast out to CO, WY, CA, etc. Most of us ride Ducati's, BMW's and Aprilias. And we are an eclectic bunch ranging in ages from 22 yrs. to 63yrs. Always looking for other riders.

While not technically New England, I'm in Bedford Hills, NY (about 20 minutes southwest of Danbury). I usually ride alone, or with some guys in the Concours Owners Group when I put together a ride.

Hey Preachp, do you know the guy (?) who rides a 955
Daytona around Willi? If you've seen a black Ducati SS with rather loud exhaust on the streets of Willi or at Corleone's, that was me. And, Mike, one of the guys I ride with (my nephew, actually) has a Concours. Even wears one of those Concours Owner's Group T-shirts. Of course, since he's my nephew, I like to remind him that the COG stands for Concrete Owner's Group. Still a helluva deal for a touring bike though isn't it?

Bruce,

Interstingly I have the same group of bikes as you! Anyway I am up in Boston and now will be comuting quite a bit to CT. There are a few of us around here that ride on a regular basis and to a couple of long trips a year. Usually do Americade even though we dont ride harleys. If your are in the area or interested then let me know.

Tom:

I spend a lot of time down on the coast. I'm over at Centerbrook quite a bit and one of our group of riders is from Madison. He rides a BMW 1100S or, sometimes, his '96 Ducati 900SS. And, Looking4st, where do you commute to in CT? What comparisons do you make between your Duc and your RS? Last year a bunch of us went up to the Lake George area during Americade. We usually avoid the event like the plague because of the crowds. We went up to Blue Mountain Lake to camp and ride the back roads. BTW, do you post to the Ducati list? You know www.ducati.net.

HiYa Bruce,
I'm in Burlington, CT... I have a bunch of ridin' friends all over the state, most are startin' to forget their 40th birthday, and none of them have Triumphs. Once the weather turns and the sand is cleaned off the roads we should get together for a Southern New England Triumph meet&ride!

Charlie....

Sounds good to me. There's also the Sunday breakfast at the Vanilla Bean in Pomfret, CT. Riders from CT, RI & MA regularly show up there. Lots of sweet bikes and even some classic sports cars. Stay in touch, we'll ride.

Bruce,

Starting tomorrow I will be commuting to Hatford a couple days a week atleast. As soon as the weather permits I will be taking the bike, probably the triumph. The differences in the two bikes a quite bit, just the riding position alone is much better on the RS. But I have to say that the Ducati is more fun and handles a bit better. I have heard of Ducati.net but I took my name off the list because of space on email but now with the a bigger mailbox I may go back. I am now part of cd-rom.com and USDESMO.com. Check them out. A bunch of us also do lake george but we dont do most of the festivities in town. We stay out of town most of the time and we just ride the local roads and go up to Lake Placid. There are a fair amount of Ducatis between us with some BMW's and Aprillia's mixed in and the token Buell.
