Hi All,
I broke that Blue Angel out of her cave today for the second time this winter. 35 miles of sandy roads I feel much better now though.
Not the greatest for hard cornering but great for get out and get some wind in your face riding.

Just got home from work a little while ago on the bike. I haven't ridden as much as I used too, but that should be over with now. Got my heated jacket and thermostat running! There is no substitute to heated gear! And the temp here in NY was 36 when I got it, so we're having a heat wave!

Way to go preachp!!

It was warm here this weekend again - but with all the sand and more importantly the salt - I let her sit idle.

I'm jealous.

Preachp,
Knowing the kind of weather you''ve had up there recently having had a trip to Newark and Long Island during the blizzards, it must be nice for you to get out and about.

Nice. I got my S3 back in October, put 1500 from Oct-Nov. Now I've done another 1300 from Dec-Feb. No heated gear, just bundle up and wear my balaclava. I've gotten down to 24F. The worst is when its cold AND dry, but the bike handles incredibly well in this crap weather we've had in Ohio the past months.

I've found that if I wear at least 1 layer of thinsulate long johns under my leathers I'm good to go unless its below 35ish and dry out. The balaclava saves my face and neck as well. Humidity does wonders for the 'real feel' temperature while riding. Clothing with armor does a great job deflecting wind and keeping joints warm. Since I got my 'new sport' jeans from Triumph and my Icon Hooligan gloves I'm pretty well set for just about any crap weather that has been thrown my way. I even stay pretty warm in the rain.
