New Triumph Models For 2009

Local dealer told me Triumph was coming out with 5 NEW models for 2009 and will be introducing them this October.
He said he didn't know what they were yet but to keep an eye on the internet.
I hope they come out with a replacement for the TROPHY. They left that segment of the market when they discontinued that bike.

Oh.......

You mean the STIGER 1050,
I have seen photos of the 2009 STIGER 1050 and it is burnt orange with black tiger stripes and requires a small set of Triumph (part number 12033666lp4548oo these also come with stripes) steps to reach the tall seat.

This machine will suit experienced riders of 6' 9" and up. This market has not been catered for by the other manufactures and so Triumph expects high sales from this newish niche market.

The STIGER will be available with especially sproingy (Patented Triumph suspension name) suspension to allow it to "jump" the traffic and enable first position at the traffic lights.

Standard fitment tyres will be 0120 and 180 but a new Bridgestone BIG CAT tyre will be released with the STIGER 150.

Sorry I am unable to disclose my Hinkley source due to lack of being able to spell his long name.

I know they are working on a Tiger Cub 675, a 1200 off roader to rival the BMW's, a mini Rocket 3 1700cc twin (2 pots from the rocket) who knows what the other 2 are ? I would like to see a superbike they may release the 1400 they were working on and an all out tourer to rival the Honda Pan Europeans would be nice. We can only dream and wait.

Well, I hope they have wised up and will include a digital counter steering indicator as standard equipment.

Yes they will

I was told OND that they will mount one next to the fluglebinder Flickenschnicker.

DAVEM,
You forgot to mention that the Stiger also comes with a parachute to aid in dismounting.
And incidentally, rumours from Hinckley suggest that those steps might be retractable.
jeffster
Say Dave, are you any relation to Auntie M from "Wizard of Oz" fame ?

I have heard from a reliable source that this feature has been scrapped in entirety.

It seems that a beat frequency between the jitter of the Digital Counter Steer CPU clock and the spacing of gravel peaks in asphalt at 72.3 mph caused a Nyquist pnenomena resulting in two wheeled machinery of English descent being drawn into the Stockton CA vortex.

Very sad indeed.
