Wait for the '08 or purchase a used Sprint ST

My question is, with the new design changes should I wait for the new '08 or look for a used '05-'07?

Thanks for the advice.

It may be worth all those upgrades.

Lights
Brakes
Gas Tank

I wish we could actually see the difference in the lights, that would make the biggest difference as far as I'm concerned. If there isn't a huge improvement in the lights, I might go used depending on the deal. The other stuff, brakes seem to be an issue more on a personal level than with everyone, and the steel gas tank...I guess that's an improvement? I don't really see a change positive or negative there unless you use a tank bag a lot.

OUsooner........from what I have read, the major change is
the Lights, and colours.........If you have the money, buy the new one
but you will loose about $2000 when you ride out of the Show room.

I was lucky I bought my 05-06 when it was 12 months old, with only
1470Ks on the clock, it wasn't even run in yet and with all the extras on it already, and it cost, $14,000.

You might find a bargain, but a new bike is great, good luck
with what ever you do.

Bought my '05 used and love it.
If '08 headlights are significantly improved (see "new headlights for '08?" thread) (and updating '05-07 doesn't turn out to be feasible) that's a big one if you ride dark curvy roads at night.
Steel tank if you use a tank bag would be number 2. (The Triumph '05-'07 tank bag arrangement is a pita to put on and remove and hides the beautiful tank, but it keeps your tank pristine.
The rest of the changes between years aren't a big deal to me. (Which windscreen, which handlebars, ABS)
Oh, and be sure you get the updated/warranteed hardbags if you get an early version.

an '07 would be the best deal in my opinion, heat issue solved and ecu upgrade, plus they all came with free bags. unless you want a steel tank and the lighting upgrade, buy used.
