I'm finishing up my valve adjustment and I elected to remove the cams instead of buying the valve tool.

Anyway...I've got the cams back in place and all the alignment marks are lined up but, the cam chain just doesn't look seated to me. I can see just a little bit of daylight between the chain and the sprocket teeth. Is this normal? I've even tapped on the top of the chain with a mallet lightly but, it doesn't seem to make a difference.

The chain is firm in place and doesn't seem like it's about to jump a tooth.

Will it seat better after an engine rotation by hand?

Thanks

Sounds like you have it seated correctly.
