Bike wouldn't Start %^%

Hello folks by bike will not start after only 2 weeks sitting. Boy sure not a Hoda

This is what it is doing:

Cranks a little the stops and makes a whirling sound and the computer does this whole (reboot Thing)???? Light work, turn signal works. Is this a dead battery???

Can oneself charge the bike throught he acc plug if so how??

Does Radio Shack have quick connect plugs that I can use with a Sears Charger and connect to the battery so I don't have to pull the Silly seat all the time??

Much thanks in advance.

Sure sounds like a weak battery to me, and yes you can charge through the powerlet connector, you just need a powerlet plug for your charger. Good luck, PhxMan

Battery Charger

I would recommend you get yourself an optimate with the attachment for the accessory socket..... Does a fantastic job of keeping the battery in tip top condition.

If you have an alarm fitted to the bike, this can flatten a battery in a couple of weeks.

You know there are many gadgets that charge your battery through the power outlet but please, please, please charge you batter properly. In the automotive industry we warn people about this. There are cases of people doing this with their Volvo's and the airbags go off. Many documented cases of the computers being wiped clean. Please, take off your seat and charge the battery properly.

It's funny you stated that because I just got off the phone with the Dealer looking for a plug for the ACC switch and I told hime it seems that my battery did not have enough juice to start the bike. He Stated that it would be Wise to take the battery out a put it on a slow charge and not to use the Acc socket even in theory it can be done that way. He just said that more things can go wrong by using the Acc socket and it is better safe the sorry. He also said if I had a proble putting the seat back on to just ride the bike to the dealer and they would srew back in for me Wow what a nice guy so I will have to take back what I said about the Sprint is just not a Honda

I am glad you called. I have had to reflash many vehicles because of these charging theories.

If the battery charge does not help, next thing I would check is the side stand switch, sounds like it might be cutting you out before your bike starts.
