Bearing part numbers

Ok, due to suffering a "spontaneous pnuemothorax" over the last few weeks, I've been more/less bound to the lay-z-boy with the laptop. It's given me time to reflect even more on things to do on my 99 Sprint ST. I wanted to be on the safe side and go ahead and replace all the bearings, but, I just couldn't find anywhere that had a list of the bearing part numbers I needed.

What I've discovered is that through much surfing between pain-med induced naps, reveals nothing as far as a good reference for bearings; good info spread about through posts, but, very spaced out.

So, maybe if I do this well enough, possibly a sticky might could be added for such a thing?

I KNOW I've missed a lot, and might be completely wrong on some, so, I'm asking you guys to help me "fill in the blanks" so to say, and I'll just edit the post to maybe help out others in the future

Here's what I have so far on a 99 Sprint ST (and probably on many other models and years as well):

That is great information on the bearing sizes/seal configurations.
Only word of caution I would give is at those prices, they are obviously bearings made in China. I'd stay away from them. Seek out a good Bearing Distributor (where ever you are) and request a name brand such as SKF, FAG, FAFNIR, etc......
Been in the bearing business for 35+ yrs and won't run Chinese bearings in anything that my life can become dependant upon.

I'll agree, but, I did notice from a set of bearings I came across in my dad's toolbox not too long ago that FAFNIR seems to be made in China now. He had the exact same bearing# on 2 different boxes, and the only difference was age. The older FAFNIR bearing said "Made in the USA" on the side, while the newer box stated "Made in China".

Almost all the major manufacturers are sourcing what is classified as "Electric Motor" size bearings offshore someplace. Not much manufacturing going on in the U.S. any more (a shame). Fafnir was bought out by Torrington quite a few years ago, and subsequently Timken bought Torrington and Fafnir. From a distributors perspective, Timken has made a total mess of the bearing industry (the are the major producer of bearing steel also).

All of those bearings are available at any of your local Auto Parts stores as well. Also many of the 62XX-rs numbers you can get in a sealed version as well. I can't remember the suffix but it would be something like a 6205-2rs or 6205-RSJ. It just depends but any good parts man can get you either the greasable or selaed version of those bearings.
