Yes it matches perfectly. I went with RS bike paints out of England. I bought an eighty dollar HVLP kit. Used a .8 tip. It was a water based paint meant to be built up. It was really not hard at all. Just gradually after testing your spray on some cardboard gradually build it up to the correct color as it gets deeper with each spray. This is a tri coat. When you put on your Max 2k glamour clear...what I used... after you initially dust it with your first coat of clear don't be shy. You cannot put on clear coat correctly and fear runs. Just make sure the can is ten inches away and layer it on heavily with a protective mask ALWAYS MOVING PAST THE PIECE. Max is hard stuff but it is really nice and remember to spray before and after you make the can active. Also. Just make sure it is in the 80's when you spray it. This biggest problem with home spraying is the lack of a clean room. So after watering down your garage floor make sure after each layer you are constantly cleaning dust off after each drying phase of the yellow. There is a white base that must be purchased and sprayed as well before the yellow. Also another note...There is a post that says that Chevrolet corvette paint is close... it is... but it is not right. You will see it. My piece looks very very good. Smooth and nice. Not perfect because of dust. Not totally factory. But very good and I can testify that the match is perfect. If you want factory you can achieve it but you have to take serious precautions to dust throughout the process. I could have bought one but heck... I learned something!
