Ok not that I condone the use of a chemical sealer on anything you may need to use some to just take away the imperfections that may occur. Exhaust is not easy to seal and isnt on cars or motorcycles. There are a number of liquid joint sealers for exhause that you can get from any autoparts distributor. Get some of it and use it very sparingly. Coat the outside of the pipe that slides into the can evenly and sparingly. Make sure the pipes are cold. Slide the pipe into the can and snug up the clamps good and tight. Wipe off any access sealer that may have squeezed out. Let sit for about 20 minutes then fire up the biek and let it get to operating temperature at idle and not on a run. Let cool and repeat. It should have sealed those little imperfections that leak.

Please only do this if you can confirm that everything is installed correctly. I really dont like chemical sealants but sometimes its the only way to correct imperfections.

This I did and it does not leak. I get some moisture leaks here but do not feel any exhaust leaks from that connection.

They were and I confirmed that they were all the way on when I took them back off. You could see how far down each one was by the markings on the midpipe.

Probably, but don't really see how this is a concern. They should fit in any position. At least to my way of thinking
Thanks for the input.

Hey 1050STrider,

Which mid pipe did you receive? The one where the right side is straight to the right can, or the one where the right side bends and curves to the left can?

I have the one that the pipe going over to the middle and left cans comes off the right pipe at a straight T. Does that make sense?

Weird that they're still making two different versions of the pipe. I wonder if it had to do with the individual technician welding the pipes?
