So I took a few so-so photos of the install of the Tridents. Here's the end result. More fun than monkeys on a ferris wheel.
Thanks to OnD's fantastic pointers in his instruction blog, it was a fairly painless process. The "strap" idea was great and enabled me to do the job without enlisting the help of my friends and then have to feed them and suplly them with beers.

Everything was pretty smooth except at two points. One was that I couldn't quite get the cans high enough up even with the straps and I actually had to use two sets (one to pull them upward and another to cluster them into the triangular bunch.) I was able to push them up with my hands with a little effort high enough to get the tail-light bracket started. For some reason, I couldn't get the bracket to line up on the left side. It kept stopping about 1/16th of an inch short of being able to get the bolt in the rear hole. So I loosely bolted the left side first and pulled up on the right side instead and that one lined up with no problem so, go figure???. If you want to see a few shots of the process, the link below goes to a 2 minute slide show. These things sound incredible! Strangely, I haven't set off any car alarms yet. But I'll keep working at it.
The last thing I need to do is to paint the under-side of the heat shield black.
Merry Christmas to me, Merry Christmas to me, I bought me some Tridents, cans "one", "two", and "three."
