A fine motorbike...indeed

Just back from the 300 mile shakedown run on the new Sprint. Ater totaling a new Tiger and running a Thruxton for 3 years, this is one great bike. The ergo tradeoff with the Tiger is not much, I expected a bit more buffeting. At 6"1' the leg position is not as comfy as the tiger but who cares?

I should have bought the Sprint before the Tiger. Ah well.......

Took a run up Lake Berryesa (big time switchbacks) road and stood my ground following an R6 and a Ducati Redthingamajigie...most excellent!

I take then you've also experienced Lake Sonoma and the fine sport riding up there as well. Skaggs Springs, Chalk Hill and the ilk. Clear Lake also has some great riding roads. Yup, the Sprint it too much fun to toodle.

I grew up going to Lake Berryessa. My parents had a trailer and boat there.

Now I'm stuck in flat South Florida, but I still enjoy my Sprint.

Hi Noch

Welcome to the Sprint world,
my NZ buddy Iceman has a 1050 Sprint and hired a Tiger when on holiday here earlier this year, he much prefers his Sprint over the 2007 Tiger which he rode that day.

.. welcome to the Sprints nochicanes - what colour did you end up getting?
They are indeed a well rounded package and probably the best true 'sport/tourer' available today.
You are in for a treat as the bike will continue to improve with age.
As Dave said - I have ridden the new Tiger recently - I liked it especially around town. The more upright position and wider bars felt better threading through traffic and I can imagine it would be more comfortable for some.
But the Sprint wins hands down for me once you get out of town and start having some fun

ended up with a silver one. Having nearly put the tiger down I can say that the riding position for handling slides and tank slappers appears to work well!

Yeah denman I am familiar with all those roads...guess I'll have to take it over to Skaggs Springs for further 'sorting'.
