Vic riders - Jan ride

OK,
a group of us head over Mt Hotham on Australia Day weekend and I woudl like to invite any Vic riders to come along.

The ride is as follows;
1. Leave Pakenham Lakeside coffee shop 8:30am
2. Head over past Gembrook, Yarra Junction, Reefton spur, Marysville (first stop -smoko)
3. back way to buxton, Alexandra, Boonie Doon,Whitfield,Myrtleford Blight,
4. This year we have yet to decide to stop at Diner Plans or ride through to Omeo and then onto Benambra Pub (Stay over night)
5. Leave Benambra Sunday morning head to Bairnsdale, Strathord, Maffra,Conwarr, Toongabie, Yallourn North, Willow Grove, Buln Buln, Droin West and back to Pakenham

We rarely see any highways and its a great run, a mix of tight twist, strights,curves and good company.

We have strict marker (corners) rules so no-one gets lost and a Road Captain makes all the calls (for safety reasons)
All in all last year we had about 14 riders and no-one got lost, hurt and forgotten.

Accomadation cost was $30 for a bed & breakfast (cooked country one) which was really good value (Benambra) so if anyones interested let me know as we are organising it now.

Sounds good, but alas I will be over in NZ then. Hiring a bike for two weeks and doing a south island trip. Never been there before and looking forward to it. At least I hope that I'll be there, going to Phillip Island for a ride day on the 21st December - our christmas party. So pity on the residents of those climes where it is cold and not really rideable. I'll be thinking of ya.

Just got the OK on the repairs for my bike... so if she's back on the road by then, i would love to join the ride... but would only be able to to do
Myrtleford - Mt Hotham/Omeo (I have to work that weekend but i should be able to get 1 day off!)

I'm Disappointed -
Can't make this one

I have the 'Family Vacation' finishing on the 27th Jan and I DARE not shuffle that around
Still I am looking forward to the 10 days in a 3 bedroom rental down at 'Apollo Bay' (may have to take the bike down - please , pretty please)
Can we have a one day ride between New Years day and Aust Day???
- I'm not organising it , my last one fell in a hole (thanks though Smegin and Richard for turning up)
