Stage 2 - 6 pots

(for the uninformed, the "6 pot club" are folks that have bought typically used 6 pot calipers to replace their stock ones. Hayabusa's are a common donor, but there are others)

ABS model

Stock 2007 Sprint 4 pot brakes:

My 2004 Hayabusa 6 pot brakes I'll be installing:

Nice. The gold ones are too bling-bling for me.

How does it feel?

They look fantastic. A few questions...I suppose the ABS would cycle the same with any caliper, but have you tried it? Any difference? How does it feel in comparison the the stockers? Did you change out the MC too? Were you having problems, or are you just trying to upgrade? Thanks!

I just did mine yesterday. I went with silver Tokicos off of an '07 ZZR600. They were still feeling a little mushy last night; I figure I should be able to bled that last little bit of air out of the system this morning.

Cheers,
-Kit

That was just a test fit, I haven't installed them yet.

ABS shouldn't care what caliper is on there

I've heard the '07s have the 5/8" master cylinder, I'm hoping that's true

I've got the "having to pump it up" issue that is is common. The first couple strokes serve to move the pistons back in, then the lever firms up.

The stock brakes were fine, but so many folks here seem to rave about the 6 pots, and it's such a simple change, I figured "why not?"

I'll report back when I get them up and running

They do look nice with the black rims - just bought a pair of silver ones myself - hopefully going on in the next week.

You can tell what size the MC is by looking at the back of it. The size is embossed on it (i.e., 14 or 5/8).

yes, they are very good! i went with busa black ones as well - make sure you bleed them good. Also, on busa calipers I used versah pads - there was a little rattling, so I added pad shims from OEM pads and it fixed it
