Bar risers

Gen mar or Heli I just got back from a 275 mile trip and im thinking a set of bar risers will take the pressure off my wrists and elbows. Any pros or cons on Gen mar or Heli bar risers. thanks Albert (Bike 2000 Sprint ST)

Smile 07 Bars

Good to see you here Acmcqu2

I put the 07 bars on my 06 and they made a great difference to the comfort
of my wrists, they look just like the 06 but longer and set back a tad.
The bars with four longer cables and fitted in a Triumph workshop cost me
Aussie $400.00....What do the Genmars cost, if its close, go for the originals

Cheers gsbeamer.

welcome aboard

Hi acmcqu2,
welcome to Triumphrat.net and to the Sprint forum.

I had a set of Triumph bar risers for my 2004 Sprint which I never used and sold them to Tankman about two years ago for his 2005 1050 Sprint, they fitted perfectly and solved his problem.

cheers,
DaveM

Dave

You may have solved one of Tankman's problems with bar risers but his other problems would need a physiatrist or even divine intervention

I have 1.5 inch risers on my 06. Was a 80 percent more comfortable for than the stock position. I also added a corbin gunfighter seat which was lower than stock. So now I feel my riding position is much better for me than stock.

Try leaning on the gas tank more

If you do this, it will take ALL the pressure off your arms

Gen mar

I have Gen Mar risers on my '02 RS and it makes a big difference. I am able to lean on the tank for the agressive riding in twisties and able to sit up straight for normal riding. Also for those long trips, consider some kind of throttle lock. I am using a Throttlemeister. Offers some relief on the long straights.

Does anyone know the actual difference in the 06 and 07 handlebars, rise and pullback, verses something like Genmars. I`m guessing it`s more with the 07 handlebars.
