04 Sprint ST, Rides fine but when warmed up splutters and pops on the overrun whilst revving at standstill. Local dealer thinks its a problem with condensation in spark plug caps but has so far failed to cure it.

Any ideas before I return to dealer?

The ST does pops a bit, most of the time due to a too lean a mixture, or wrong tune.

ALso check that the "colar" around the can-pipe connection-pipe is correctly fitted. I had a few leaks there causing mine 03 ST to pop a lot.

Never heard about "condensation" issues with the ST though!

success

The only problem I've had with my bike and this happened right away as I bought it and the first 1000 miles were in the rain was plugged spark plug tube drain holes. There was some shipping junk in there that kept the water from draining out. I had a spark plug short. After clearing the tube drain holes and putting in new plugs not a problem since.
