I dont know when this was done last but I would like to know how my average of 57 MPG, light to light on, coonmpares with figures obtained by other riders.? Mixed riding , some fast some slow. Some hard acceleration, as you do !

That is really good compared to what I get.

When Running in and limited to 3500 rpm I got about that. Once run in and not really using the potential I was running around the 48-49 mpg. Spirited riding gives me 45-46. Two up, luggage, camping gear and kitchen sink, and with a very controlled right hand (indicated 80 tops) on a run down the motorway to St Ives I managed 235 miles to running on fumes.

As a pointer I estimate 30 miles from when the light comes on!

I think you will see a drop once you start giving it more twist.

I get an unfortunately consistent 27MPG in the city, about 2MPG better than I got with my old Trident. I found out the hard way a couple days ago that I only get 20 miles on reserve.

The one time I had her out on the highway, I got 37MPG.

All US miles & gallons.

Cheers,
-Kit

Kit;

Don't forget that the boys across the pond are using Imperial Gallons, which are larger than US. gallons. Can't remember by how much, 10%?

I get about 40mpg US around town, and 46-48 on the highway. 18T

I average 51 mpg U.S. The few times I have to drone along on the slab it drops to 47-46.

Fuel pressure regulator has been modified and 18t on the front.

I'm getting around 54 to 57 depending on how I ride.... the bike is just so happy cruising down the road at 80 mph

The day I took it to the track it was getting 50 mpg.

actually 25% more. a gallon of water in the UK=10lbs. versus 8 lbs. US

Gotta agree at least somewhat with Whoosh on this one. Unless you're getting unusually low mileage which would indicate a mechanical problem, the difference between 42 mpg and 49 mpg would not affect how I ride or how often. When I compare that to the 22 mpg (hwy) I get in my cage....well you get the picture.

Just ride it baby.
